Eric Aspegren is a 1989 graduate of Washburn University with a Bachelor of Music in Education and Performance, and has taught in both public and private schools for 19 years. He began his teaching career with the Archdiocese, teaching 5-8 band at Most Pure Heart, Assumption, and Our Lady of Guadalupe schools.
He has taught for the Santa Fe Trail, Baldwin City, and Burlington School Districts, and was most recently the PreK-4 music teacher at Burlington Elementary School. In 2008, he received his Master of Science in Education Administration from Emporia State University.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Aspegren has performed many concerts and shows with area groups such as the Topeka Symphony Orchestra, Topeka Festival Singers, Topeka Civic Theater, and Helen Hocker Theater. He has also played with area Christian groups for over 20 years, and has lead worship in local Christian churches.
Mr. Aspegren is excited to return to the Catholic schools in Topeka, and looks forward to working again with staff at Holy Family Catholic School as well as Most Pure Heart of Mary.
